Mallorca AA International Convention 2025

On the Road

Happy Joyous and Free...

On the Road

Abandon yourself to God as you understand God. Admit your faults to Him and to your fellows. Clear away the wreckage of your past. Give freely of what you find and join us. We shall be with you in the Fellowship of the Spirit, and you will surely meet some of us as you trudge the Road of Happy Destiny. May God bless you and keep you-until then.

Powerful Year of Recovering

It’s beyond words how important this convention is to me. Both times I’ve had massively important experiences. The first year I wasn’t well (3 years of serious illness) and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to fly out. But I did and I spent the entire time cuddled up on the big beds in the garden surrounded by fellowship, love and friends and I truly believe it’s what set me up for a powerful year of recovering.

Spiritual space

Being part of beautiful sunrises with the fellowship blew me away. Meditating at the shore line as the sun rises, stretching out the cares in yoga and then onto a swim or a morning meeting on the beach is literally the best way to start any day.

Last Man Standing

A day after all had finished, photo from my balcony at the hotel where the convention had been. I love night lights on any island, flickering away in the distance, maybe a hypnotic mystique in the warm evening air catches me. The convention stretched over four days surrounded by fellows enjoying themselves, simple joy of being immersed in a celebration of recovery within the perfect backdrop of the alluring Mallorca.

Life is Beautiful

Came by this image along the strip in Porto Pollensa. Mirrored how I was feeling. Simple .Mallorca. Everything felt beautiful. Recovery. Sunshine. Island life. Sea. Bliss. Beautiful people. Energy.

The Beach

Having enjoyed AA meditation meetings back home, made sure i’d get up early to make the most of sunrise meetings abroad. What an opportunity on this island. Confess I struggled with meditation- too fascinated watching the sun come up! Lapping of the waves, the quiet energy of the group, the stillness, the rhythm and tone set then for the rest of the day. Grateful to have been there.

First Sober Holiday

First sober holiday, wanted a break somewhere warm. Going away solo, decided on an AA convention in the sun to mix with like minded people. It was a perfect choice. One of the beauties of this convention was making the most of the weather and the outdoors. Not being inside too much. Meetings on the beach a few feet from the surf, yoga by the lapping waves, garden meetings in the hotel grounds, sunrise meditation on the beach. I’m sure a fair number of people went to the convention although it didn’t feel anything other than intimate.
